Is it really free? What’s the catch?
Static QR codes are 100% free with no account, no watermark and no expiry — they’re generated right in your browser. We make money when people want dynamic codes beyond the free three, or advanced analytics.
Do my QR codes expire?
Static codes never expire — the data is in the pattern itself. Dynamic codes keep working as long as they’re within your plan. If a paid plan ends, your 3 oldest stay live and the rest pause until you renew — nothing is deleted, and you choose which 3 stay on. Otherwise a dynamic code only stops if you pause it, set an end date, or delete it.
Can I change a QR code after I’ve printed it?
Yes, if it’s a dynamic code. Open it in your dashboard, paste the new link, save. Every printed copy now goes to the new place.
Will a logo stop it from scanning?
Not with Scanvane. When you add a logo we automatically switch to the highest error-correction level, which lets the code survive up to ~30% of it being covered. We also warn you if your colors have too little contrast.
What do you track when someone scans?
Date and hour, device type, operating system, browser, and approximate country. We never store IP addresses, and we don’t use ad trackers or sell data.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription in one click from Billing. You keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. After that, any codes over the free limit pause (never deleted) and switch back on when you renew.
